summer

it's almost over :/ I feel like this summer has just flown by. they always do that, don't they?

May was warm and crazy busy. Luke graduated and moved in, his Mom came to visit, then we went to Chicago and he left for Michigan for a month.

June was 50/50. My Mom came to visit at the beginning of the month, which was really nice. We got to do wedding stuff and hang out just the two of us. That never happens. The middle of June was miserable. It was cold and rainy. Luke was gone. I had strep throat which incapacitated me for 2 weeks. Then Danielle and Lilly came out at the end, which was a lot of fun. Thier visit brought some much needed laughter and smiles.

July. Luke came home. We saw friends every weekend. I made a lot of berry mojitos. Luke and I started looking for houses and thinking of moving. Cousin came to visit and we found my wedding dress! I finally got over the sinus cold that had plagued me since I had strep. And the weather warmed up again.

August has been a blur so far. I had the craziest work week ever, followed by a weekend at home. 72 hours packed with as much activity as people could rope us into. When we came back to Jersey the weather heated up by 20 degrees. Work has still been crazy. Luke and I really dug into the wedding plans. Had a few bridal meltdowns but I think we are going to make it. And now we are looking at houses again. We might even move by the end of the month, who knows.
