I love how a good run can fix a bad day. you strap on your shoes and hit the pavement and the stress just starts to melt. your focus isn't on the terrible meeting or the horrible conference call or the giant piles af laundry and junk that need to be cleaned. it's on putting one foot in front of the other, hitting one mile mark then the next. simple goals. achievable. it can be a slow day or a fast day, short or long... all that matters is that you run.
it feels good to get outside after being cooped up all day. nature is good for the soul. the weather can be warm and balmy, or crisp and cool. each temperature has its high points. last night, running past the fall colors in the sunset was so beautiful. I almost stopped just to take it all in. sometimes life suprises you, just when you need it the most.
