dear blog,

I'm sorry I have to tell you this, but I don't want you to hear it from someone else. I'm cheating on you. I started a tumblr. a while ago. I wish I could say it's not you, but it is. with a quick toggle, I can send tumblr my instagram photos. they can automatically funnel in my pinterest feed. they have a queue option for posts which means I don't have to pick a scheduled time. and they have an iPhone app, not that I really need to 'blog on the go'. but it's nice to know I could if I wanted. and there's some cool stuff circulating over there... photos and graphics and short little posts that are easy to process.

I guess I should be more clear: I'm not leaving you. tumblr can't handle the sort of relationship we have. long discussions rants and rambles, and huge photo after huge photo. it's just that... there are times when I just want to share something quick and be done with it. not sit here and elaborate on nothing for 3 paragraphs. maybe I've been infected by society's ever-shortening attention span. but there are still times like this, when I need to type and get it all out. these are the things I will share with you. because while tumblr may look all sleek and streamlined with their short little posts, big blocks of text just don't suit them.
