free speech

the beauty and the tragedy of online blogs is their public nature. with a few clicks, you can browse through the mind of a friend or a stranger halfway across the world. the sense of impersonality in typing black letters onto a white screen can both free you to write unrestricted, and lull you into a false sense of safety about those opinions.

I try to think very carefully about what I write here.

so much, that often times I don't write.

I seem to be running into that problem more and more as I evaluate my life through this summer's changes. but, I still feel the need to write. even if I'm not really able to say anything. it just feels good, and right, for my fingers to be hitting the keys as the thoughts flow from mind to screen.
