week 48: coming home

I spent all of Thanksgiving week at home in Michigan. Seeing all of my family, [a few of] my friends, my sister’s wedding, running with my Dad, making pie with Husband…. I know I say this every time I go home, but: every time I go home, I appreciate it more and more.

 My sister got married last weekend! The ceremony was beautiful, the reception was a blast, and my sister was amazingly gorgeous. She asked me to take some pictures of her invitation, bouquets [from Etsy], and centerpieces for her. I seriously want to steal the light from my deck back home. And this antique wooden bench- perfect backdrop for the rustic/chic details. [I'm also proud to say these photos are 100% sooc, no editing at. ALL. big step for me!]

a taste of home

last weekend Husband and I went back to East Lansing for the big football game... Michigan State vs University of Michigan. it turned out well for us [the Spartans won] and we had a great time, but it's always sad to leave again after a trip back home. a lot of my family and friends were back for last night's game vs Wisconsin [for that amazing ending] and I couldn't be there, so I decided to console myself this morning with editing my photos from the trip. I have a TON but these few walking around campus after the game might be my favorites.
